Mr Martin Reynolds CMG has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Libya in succession to Mr Frank Baker CMG OBE who will be leaving the Diplomatic Service.
He will take up his appointment in April 2019.
For the past four years, Mr Reynolds has held the post of Principal Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, and before that was the UK's Deputy High Commissioner in South Africa.
