The Italian language is to be officially taught in Libyan upper secondary schools controlled by the Government of National Accord (GNA), starting from this 2020/21 school year.
According to a statement from the Italian Foreign Ministry, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Tripoli by the Minister of Education, HE Ammari, for training new Libyan teachers in Italy.
