A technical meeting was held on 28th May at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) between the NOC and the Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company (TPOC).
The meeting was attended by Mr. Bashir Garea, NOC exploration Department Manager, and by the department’s superintendents and technical staff, and from TPOC by Mr. Zekeriya Karkmaz, Exploration Manager; Mr. Cengiz Soylu, Project manager; Libyan branch deputy manager, Mr. Fateh Belhaj; and technical staff from its Tripoli and Istanbul offices.
At the meeting TPOC presented details of the work carried out, and its plan for the remainder of the year.
TPOC has in recent years made a number of oil discoveries in the company’s onshore Murzuq Basin operated exploration license. The company lifted the force majeure on in December 2012.
