Italy's Minister for Transport, Graziano Delrio, has said that Italy wants to re-open EU airspace to Libyan-registered aircraft.
He made the comments following a meeting in Milan with Libya's transport minister-designate Milad Mohamed Matouk [Mohamed Milad Maatough], adding:
"We hurry to reopen air links, but you have to do it safely. There will be a technical exchange and materials to enable the reopening of the airspace safely".
The Ministers also discussed the possibility of restarting work on the planned coastal motorway from Tunisian to Egypt.
