Libyan Foreign Ministry spokesman Saad Elshlmani has reportedly said that his country is determined to promote ties with Iran.
According to the Iranian IRNA news service, he also wished success for Iran during its presidency over the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in the next three years.
Referring to the Iranian aid workers kidnapped in Libya, Elshlmani said Tripoli is seriously following up the case.
As to the West's pressures on Iran to prevent the country from pursuing nuclear technology, the Libyan official said all world nations including Iran have the right to use nuclear energy and should not be deprived of the energy for peaceful purposes, IRNA reported.
