Tunisia's Transport Ministry has announced that a shipping line is to be created between Tunisia and Libya.
The Tunisian news agency TAP said that establishment of this line was the focus of discussions held on Friday between Transport Minister Abdelkarim Harouni and Libyan Secretary of State in charge of Land Transport and Roads Mohamed Al-Ayib.
The new company will be formed on 17th February as part of the Compagnie Tunisienne de Navigation (CTN).
They also discussed increased co-operation between the Tunisian Shipping Company and the Libyan National Shipping Company regarding the renting of crude oil transport ships between the Skhira port and that of Bizerte.
