A new advisory body focusing on economic issues in Benghazi has been launched.
According to a report from Libya Herald, the Benghazi Economic Council (BEC) aims to coordinate the efforts of various institutions specialising in economic activity in the city, to promote its economic growth, and to contribute to the economic plans and policies in the country as a whole.
A steering committee was elected which will run the council until a board of directors is formed.
