A technical meeting was held on Thursday at the headsquarter of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) between the NOC and BP.
The meeting was attended by Mr Bashir Garea, NOC exploration Department Manager, and by the department’s and technical staff; and from BP by Mr Richard Woodfine, VP Exploration North Africa; Mr Nick Dendy, Commercial Director BP Libya; Mr John Howie, New Wells Delivery Manager North Africa; and Mr Bashir Musbah, Exploration team Leader.
At the meeting BP presented an update and the results of the exploration activities carried out since the last technical meeting held in October 2012. The company also presented the work plan to be conducted through the remainder of 2013.
BP has in recent years completed vast 3D and 2D seismic surveys in the company’s onshore Ghadames Basin and in the offshore Sirte Basin.
