Employees of the Rural Bank went on strike on Thursday.
According to Libya Herald, they are demanding a pay rise and an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of shareholders as quickly as possible to appoint a board of directors to run the bank in place of the current steering committee.
They also demanded further investment in the bank which is supposed to focus on microcredit.
