Gunmen attacked Libya’s interior ministry building in Tripoli late on Tuesday, forcing its closure.
Reuters reports that the incident happened on Tuesday evening when there were few people and not many guards inside the building.
The attackers are said to be demanding the resignation of the Interior Minister, Mohamed Khalifa Cheikh [al-Sheikh] (pictured), because of the government's reliance on some militias, including the 'Supreme Security Committee (SSC)'.
