Flights to and from the southern city of Sabha have resumed, with the first journey carrying pilgrims back from Saudi Arabia.
All security measures are said to be in place at the airport, supported by the Libyan army to prioritise the safety of travellers and staff.
Transport Minister, Abdel-Qader Mohamed Ahmed Al-Ayib (pictured), told Marcopolis that he wants to establish Sabha along with Tripoli and Benghazi as reliable international airports.
