Libya Enterprise, the government agency tasked with providing business support to start-ups, is to be restructured.
According to sources in Tripoli, the agency will be split into five independent, regionally-based units, centered in Tripoli, Benghazi, Misrata, Derna and Sabha respectively.
It is understood that each unit will report directly to the Ministry of Economy.
Originally established in 2012, Libya Enterprise described its mission as
“Developing entrepreneurship and innovation culture throughout Libya, and creating a supportive environment for small and medium enterprises.”
