Libya has cut production at the el Fil [el Feel, Elephant] oilfield to between 50,000 and 60,000 bpd, from 80,000bpd, due to a pipeline problem, the state-run National Oil Corporation (NOC) said on Sunday.
Rigzone reports that engineers closed a pipeline valve after pressure had built up too strongly.
El-Feel, which has a capacity to pump 130,000 bpd, is operated by Mellitah, a joint venture between NOC and Italy's Eni.
