According to a report from Libya Herald, the cost of fuel has increased sharply as the ongoing clashes at Tripoli International Airport have kept roads closed and fuel scarce.
The cost of petrol has risen from LD 0.15/litre before the airport clashes to LD 5/litre, while the price of a cylinder of cooking gas has risen to LD 150, an increase of nearly 400 percent since last week.
Brega Petroleum Marketing Company has sent supplies from Misrata, but some of them have been seized by members of the Libya Shield militia.
