The General Electric Company of Libya (GECOL) has said that power shortages in and around Ras Lanuf are expected to continue, as two power plants with a combined capacity of 500 megawatts are out of action due to fighting in the region.
Benghazi has also suffered a full-scale power cut because of poor weather conditions and the company said that much of western Libya can expect the power cuts to continue.
