Reuters reports that Libya's internationally recognized government has warned tankers against trying to approach the Ras Lanuf terminal without its permission.
The move follows the announcement from the rival Tripoli-based National Oil Corporation (NOC) that it was lifting the force majeure on the oil terminal.
But the Chairman of the Tobruk-based NOC, Yousef Bu Saifi, told Reuters the force majeure was still in effect, and that orders had been given to the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) to take action against any vessels attempting to use the port.
According to a report from Libya Herald, two Greek tankers were turned away from the port last week.
