A leading migrant smuggler has reportedly been killed by gunmen in Tripoli.
According to a report from Deutsche Welle, Salah al-Maskhout operated from the western coastal city of Zuwara, a hub for refugees trying to reach Europe.
Sources say that al-Maskhout and eight of his men, carrying Kalashnikov rifles, were shot dead by "professionals" using handguns.
