Mustafa Sanalla, NOC Chairman of the Board, has met with Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The meeting addressed the technical needs of the Libyan oil sector to which the companies affiliated to the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources may contribute such as projects of rehabilitation of infrastructure including oil and gas networks, maintenance and construction of new tanks in addition to technical services, ancillary services, training, specialized professional development, conferences and exhibitions.
Earlier this year, Sanalla issued an order regarding the formation of a committee to study aspects of mutual cooperation with the Egyptian oil and gas sector chaired by Eng. Jadalla Alaokali NOC Member of the Board and including the memberships of selected officials from NOC and its subsidiaries.
It was also agreed that the first meeting of the specialized technical committees from both the Egyptian and Libyan parties would be held next January to follow that matter.
For his part, Eng. Tarek El Molla asserted the strategic dimension of the bilateral relationships between the two brotherly countries and the readiness of the Egyptian Petroleum sector to contribute to rehabilitating the oil and gas facilities in Libya.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Mohamed Safan Senior Under-Secretory, Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Egypt, Eng. Jadalla Alaokali NOC Member of the Board, Mr. Ownees Elisawi Member of the Management committee at Arabian Gulf Oil Company, Mr. Musbah Matoug Legal Advisor at NOC Board of Directors in addition to a number of officials from the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
